About Us
Southampton City Scouts has been enriching young lives through adventure and outdoor education for over 100 years.
Who are the Scouts?
Scouts prepares young people with skills for life – helping them speak up and play their part. Each week we give almost half a million people aged 4-25 the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.
We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience & skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians.
We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re part of a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

Scouts in Southampton
Southampton City Scouts looks after Scouting from the Test to the Itchen, encompassing much of Southampton. We've enriching young lives in Southampton through adventure and outdoor education for over 100 years.
We work with teams of volunteers across 11 Scout Groups and over 50 weekly sections enabling hundreds of young people aged 4 to 24 to take part in high-quality, adventurous, and inclusive programmes.
In addition to our new project at Woodmill, we also operate a youth campsite in the New Forest at Wilverley.
